Obituary

     Thomas “Earl” Foley, 70, of True passed away Saturday January 9, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.

     Born July 15, 1950 in Princeton he was a son of the late Royal Thomas and Alberta Byrd Foley.

     Earl was a coal miner, heavy equipment operator, and a member of the UMWA.  He was also a retired member of the Pipestem Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Local 132 Operating Engineers.

     Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, being a lawn mower mechanic, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Preceding him in death includes his grandson, Cory Thomas Carr.

     Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Lori Foley Carr of Maurertown, Virginia and Amy Madigan and husband Dwayne of Star Tannery, Virginia; four grandchildren, Andy Carr, Shelley Coleman, Thomas McGuire, and Austin Madigan; eight great grandchildren, Michael Carr, Mathew Carr, Makailey Carr, Trinity Carr, Christian Coleman, Ella Coleman, William Blake, and Roselynn McGuire; one brother, Ray Foley and wife Ruth of Pipestem; one sister, Donna Cook and husband Joe of Crown City, Ohio and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

     For the safety of the family and community a walk-through visitation will be held at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. Following the visitation at Earl’s request the body will be cremated.
