     Randolph Masten John "Rooster" Meador, 47, of Hinton passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at his home following a short illness.

     Rooster was born December 18, 1974 in Fairfax, VA. He was a son of the late Bobby Meador and Elizabeth “Minnie” Cook.

     Rooster was a proud member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Friars Club and the Laborers Local 423 out of Beckley, WV. He loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and watching baseball. Rooster was a lifelong, dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs.

     Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Dalton "Bubba" Meador of Hinton and Shawn Meador of Cape Coral, FL; one brother, Billy (Peggy) Trivett Jr.; one sister, Lisa "Porky" Meador of Hinton; three grandchildren, James "JC" Meador of Hinton, Johnathan Meador and Savanna Meador both of Cape Coral, FL; three nephews, Billy "Bull" (Sara) Trivett, Zac (Jessica) George, Rocky (Melissa) Meador all of Hinton; three nieces, Alana Rain Meador, Courtney Trivett, and Keely Dylane Harvey all of Hinton; two great nephews, Zay and Caiden George of Hinton; one great niece, Kaydence Chevelle of Hinton; loving companion and lifelong partner, Heather Boggs of Willow wood, OH and two special friends, Arthur Sanda Jr. and Dennis "DK" Bragg of Hinton.

     A memorial service will be announced & held at a later date.

I had the privilege of coaching Randy in football. He was a hardworking and tough ball player. I always really liked him. My condolences to Dalton and the rest of the family.

There will never be another man like him. He cared about others and shared his faith in God with others. I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends, church family, and other loved ones. I am sorry for this loss and will never forget him. I am sure that he is now reunited in Joy with his family members who had gone on before him.
