Priscilla "Jo" Martin, 69, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Friday January 11, 2019 at WSS Center Genesis Healthcare following a long illness.
Born July 5, 1949 at Clarksville, OH she was the daughter of the William and Thelma Osborne Peters. She was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse at Summers Co. Hospital and other area facilities. Priscilla enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Melissa Cyrus and husband Paul of Bluefield, VA and Paula Martin and companion Jonathan Ward of Hinton; five grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Corey Martin, Richard Cyrus, Austin Cyrus and Ethan Cyrus; two great grandchildren, Malory Martin and McKenzie Cyrus; one brother, Dan Peters of KY; seven sisters, Loretta Garee and husband Ron, Virginia Jones, Margaret Hatfield and husband Jerry, Dorothy Peters, Barbara Reynolds and husband Buck, Billie Peters all of OH and Frances Greenwood of KY.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday January 17, 2019 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm until service time on Thursday at the funeral parlors. Per her request her earthly body has been cremated. The family has requested not send any flowers but to please make donations to the International Center for Fabry Disease at P.O. Box 1498 New York, New York 10029.
