Maple Grimmett

Maple Grimmett, 85, of Alderson went home to be with the Lord Tuesday December 8, 2020 following a long illness.

Born December 31, 1934 in Coal City she was the daughter of the late Truby and Violet Woods Lusk.  A member of the Elk Knob Baptist Church she enjoyed crafts, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Weikle and Reva McCann and one brother, Freeman Lusk.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 64 years Sonny Grimmett of Alderson; two sons, Roger Grimmett and Mike Grimmett both of Alderson; two grandchildren, Cassandra Persinger and Cody Grimmett; four great grandchildren and two sisters, Linda Foster of Forest Hill and Myrtle Grimmett of Judson.

Funeral services will be private with Pastors Andy Howdock and Harry Allen officiating.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
