Edna Harless

November 12, 1940 — January 15, 2020

Sister Edna Marie Harless affectionately known as Mom, Mamaw and Sister went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home following a short illness.

Born November 12, 1940 in Ramp, WV to the late Edgar and Virginia Bowles Hocum she was one of four children.

Edna was a faithful member of Ramp Holiness Church with special friend Janet Cales and pastor Brother Felix Baker.

She enjoyed baking, cooking and caring for her family and friends.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Brother Dolphus Jean Harless; two brothers, Roy “Arkie” Hocum and Bobby Lewis Hocum.

Those left to cherish her memory include one brother, Travis Hocum and wife Janet of Hinton, WV ; nine children, Tommy Peal and wife Jessie of Ramp, Tammy Harless Churchwell and husband Danny of Alexandria, VA, Terri Peal Cole and husband Earl of Brown City, MI, Wade Harless and wife Yvonne of Chesterfield, MI, Ruth Peal Virostick of New Haven, MI, Brenda Peal Waterfield and husband Terry of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Peal Weig of Macomb, MI, Mike Harless and wife Margo of Yachats, OR, Doug Harless and wife Nancy of Pueblo West, CO; grandchildren, Abby and husband Greg Adkins, T.J. Peal and wife Crystal, Haley Peal, Kelly Brown and husband Mike, Terri Hart and husband Brian, Weston Lewis and partner Ashley Harmon, Wade Harless Jr., Jillian Rank and partner Mark Ertman, Cherlyn Virostick  and partner Ashley Jacques, Terry Lee Hudkins and wife Nicole, Bill Weig Jr., Grant Harless, Nick Savage and wife Stephanie, Savage and Aspen Harless; great grandchildren, Tyler Wills, Brooklyn Adkins, Logan Peal, Gage Peal, Olivia Klobnock, Kinzlee Ertman, Cheyenne Hudkins, Phoebe Harless, Ethan Brown, Devon Brown, Kassandra Farley and husband Brian, Damian Ward, Kourtney Hart, Alex Hart, Corbett Lewis, Maverick Lewis, expected great granddaughter Elena Lewis and Noah Jacques; expected great great grandson Mason Lee Farley; adopted children by love, Duane Hocum and Margaret Cresong; special niece, Leanna Hocum; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Ramp Holiness Church at a later date. Her wishes were honored to be cremated and buried at her home place.
