Yvonne Collins

Yvonne M. Collins, 71, of Hinton passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at VAMC Durham, NC following a short illness.

Born May 29, 1950 at Sylacauga, AL she was a daughter of the late Joseph Alton Wesson and Evelyn Lucille Cox Wesson.

Yvonne was a US Army Veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans. She was a computer programmer and systems processor for Verizon.  Yvonne was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Scott Wesson; one stepson Jeremiah Collins and two brothers, Douglas and Dennis Wesson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert B. Collins; one daughter, Tonia Wesson; one stepson, Robert Collins Jr.; five grandchildren, Kalynn Wesson, Kayla Collins, Brooke Collins, Jay Hess and Jeremiah Collins Jr.; many great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and one sister, Shirley Fechner.

At her request her body has been cremated and there will be no services.
