William Ayers

William A. Ayers, 76, of Forest Hill passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Main Street Care following a long illness.

Born January 25, 1944 at Appomattox, VA he was a son of the late William Ervin and Alma Reed Ayers.

William was a carpenter who enjoyed hunting, NASCAR racing, watching game shows and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Ayers; one brother, James Ayers and one sister, Dorothy Ann Cuneo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 17 years, Mary Ayers; two stepdaughters, Amber Miller and Stephanie Letts; three step grandchildren, Dustin Letts Jr., Jadyn Turner and Stephan Lee; one brother, Jerry Ayers and several nieces and nephews.

For the safety of the family and community, services will be private at this time with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.
