Vicky Lynn Lilly

            Vicky Lynn Lilly, 57, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2023, at her home following a short battle with cancer.

            Born March 10, 1966, at Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Ray Martin and Margaret G. Bonds Martin.  She was a former employee of the Summers County Board of Education as a cook at Hinton Area Elementary, medical assistant at Bluefield Regional Center and a certified nursing and medical assistant for several local physicians.  Vicky enjoyed beach vacations, growing beautiful flowers in her flower beds, crafting but most of all loving and raising her children.

            Preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lilly; three infant children, Melissa, Tyler and Jonathan Lilly; one sister, Sharon Kay Hicks and one brother, Raymond “Pee Wee” Grose.

            Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Angel M., Breanna L., Kiarra R., and Legend L. Lilly; special foster daughter, Brittany L. Justice; one brother, Rick Grose and wife Susan; one sister, Dee Lilly and husband Terry and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

            Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday January 3, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wimmer Cemetery near Hinton.  Friends may call from noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.

            Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

            In lieu of flowers the family requests donations of sympathy be made to the funeral parlors to help with expenses.
