Thomas “Tommy” Adkins Jr., 44, of Hinton passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.

Born September 23, 1981 in Hinton he was a son of Thomas Adkins Sr. and Christine Kesner Adkins of Hinton.

Tommy was a security guard in the coal mines and worked at Meador Wood Products, he also performed several odd jobs in the community. Tommy enjoyed working in his flower garden and “piddlin.” Family and the holidays meant everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elwood and Effie Kesner; paternal grandparents, Raymond “Jr.” and Helen Adkins; an infant brother, Cheyenne Adkins and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory include four siblings, Tabitha Adkins, Roman Adkins, Kizzy Adkins and Sabastian Adkins; nephews, Arizona Fox, Atreyu Fox, Azlee Fox and nephew, Junior Franklin Morrison “Little Man” Tommy’s pride and joy and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

There will be a private family burial at the Esquire Cemetery.
