Tammy Ramsey-Sears

Tammy Ramsey-Sears of Hinton, WV, passed away on September 16, 2025 at the Hinton House in Hinton, WV.

Born in Summers County on October 27, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Zachary Taylor Ramsey, III and Doris Bruce Ramsey.

Tammy was a loving fur mom to Bella and Rex, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Known as a true “jack of all trades,” Tammy worked many jobs throughout her life, including as a taxi driver, CNA, logging truck driver, cashier, and even a bait-catcher at Wood’s Store. She embraced each role with determination and grit, making friends everywhere she went.

Tammy will be remembered for her big heart, her willingness to help others, and her love for both people and animals.

She will be missed dearly by her siblings: Brenda Ramsey of Ohio, Teresa McKinney of Alabama, and Gary Ray Ramsey of North Carolina; her nephews, Charles Michael Ramsey and Carlos Lee Richmond Jr.; many extended family members, including the Lucas family with whom she grew up, and several friends.

In keeping with Tammy’s wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and Cremation Care Center.
