Sandra Lee Woodrum, 86, formerly of Lewisburg went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 27, 2026. She passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke, VA following a long illness.
Born on May 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Mary Woodrum.
Sandy had a 40-year career in medical laboratory technology and retired from the Greenbrier Clinic. Retirement suited her well, and she was happiest when she was cooking and feeding people, mowing grass, working in her flower beds, being with family, reading, and knitting. She valued her relationship with Jesus above all else.
She loved her family dearly and will be terribly missed. Those left to cherish her memory include her two brothers, Tom (Sandy) and Butch (Betty). She is also survived by her nieces and nephew: Kim (Kenny), Tommy, Jenny, and Lesley (Tom) as well as a great niece, Leila. A host of great friends who she considered family also survive.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Matthew Skelton and Elizabeth Hall, PA, at Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Allegheny Health and Rehab for their compassionate care and Good Samaritan Hospice for treating Sandy with love, grace, and dignity in her final days. Services have been entrusted to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors & Cremation Care Center, and a memorial service will be at Central Baptist Church held at a later date.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13.
