Sandra Kay "Sissy" Adkins, 48, of Hinton passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.
Born November 15, 1967 at Hinton she was a daughter Catherine Thomas Adkins of Hinton and the late Clarence Willard Adkins.
Sissy was a lifelong resident of Summers Co. who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence W. "Brother" Adkins Jr.
Besides her mother those left to cherish her memory include one son, Will Cales of Florida; one daughter Priscilla Proud Adkins of Lewisburg; two sisters, Cathy Adkins of Hilldale and Flora Mae Adkins of Hinton. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday April 5, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Esquire Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
