Ruth Tabor Kessler

Ruth Tabor Kessler, 75, of Marie went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston as a result of a fall.

Born August 11, 1950 at Marie she was a daughter of the late Ray W. and Mary M. Lilly Tabor.

Ruth was a retired licensed practical nurse with 40 years of service at Summer County Appalachian Regional Hospital. She attended Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Alderson. Ruth loved her church family, working on her farm, gardening, West Virginia University football games and was an avid New York Jets fan.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Tabor and three half brothers, Anthony, Clifford and Mack Farley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Kessler; one half sister, Genevieve Benji; one sister in law, Pat Tabor; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
