Rose Conner, 85, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
Born January 16, 1932 at Mt. View she was a daughter of the late Roy D. and Willie G. Basham Stanley.
Rose was a member of the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Conner; two sons, Larry Conner and Kenneth Wayne Conner; one brother, Fred Stanley and a son in law, James Bird.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Nina Harrah and husband Johnny of Beckley and Teresa Bird of Jumping Branch; two sons, Jackie Conner and wife Rita of Jumping Branch and Lonnie Conner of Jumping Branch; four grandsons, Jessie and Timmy Conner of Linwood, NC, Jason Harrah and wife Chantelle of St. Johns, FL and David Conner and wife Megan of Jumping Branch; one granddaughter, Beth Huber and husband Doug of Jumping Branch; four great grandsons; three great granddaughters; one brother, Roy Dolphus Stanley of Huntington.
Graveside service and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 16, 2017 at Lilly-Crews Cemetery in Nimitz with Pastor Dalene Coffman officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 10:30 A.M. Monday until time of services.
