Ronald Shrader

Ronald J. Shrader, Sr., 71, of Beech Run, Hinton, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness. Born August 29, 1933 in Summers Co., he was a son of the late Ola C. and Vergie Bennett Shrader. Mr. Shrader was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a retired brakeman for the CSX Corp., a member of the UTU Local 118 and an avid fisherman. Preceded in death by two brothers; Marvin and Noreland Shrader and one sister, Nadine Shrader. Survived by his wife of 53 years; Donna Richmond Shrader at home; one son, Ronnie Shrader and wife Susan of Hix; two daughters, Cheryl Mann and Fiancee Dale Shuler of Jumping Branch and Lisa Bartgis and husband Capt. Bryen Bartgis, Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan; three grandchildren, Trista, Garrett and Baylee; one brother; Thomas Shrader of Peterstown; one sister, Doris Ann Fox of Newport News, VA and a special friend, Danny Adkins of Hinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Roy Lee Honaker Jr. and Sonny Angell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Family Cemetery at Southside, near Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday. Friends, neighbors and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
