Ronald Hobart Ramsey

     Ronald Hobart Ramsey, 84, of Pataskala, Ohio passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at Grant Medical surrounded by family and loved ones.

     He was born March 28, 1939 in Forest Hill, West Virginia to the late Nannie and Hobart Ramsey. Ronald retired from Western Electric/AT&T after 30+ years of hard work. Ronald would go on to work with his son in excavating after retirement. He was also known to work and dabble with carpeting and furniture. In his free time, Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman. For 50 years, Ronald was a Deacon and faithful member of Summit Baptist Church in Pataskala. Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

       In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Dale Ramsey, grandson Samuel Dale Ramsey, and his five brothers.  

      Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 65 years, Marion Ramsey; daughter, Roberta (James) Arbaugh; daughter-in-law, Linny (Bruce) Lane; grandchildren, Clay (Ashley) Ramsey, Kaitlin (Jeremy) Breton, Robert (Lena Edmonds) Arbaugh, and Leota Lane; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Arbaugh, Landon Breton, Dale Ramsey, and Matt Ramsey; sister, Ruth Thomas; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.

     Family and friends may call from 1-3 p.m. with a service to begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Summit Baptist Church, 7239 Summit Rd SW, Pataskala, OH 43062. Additional services will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Roles Chapel Baptist Church in Forest Hill, West Virginia with Pastor Robbie Merritt and Josh Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Roles Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Saturday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
