Roger Williams

Roger W. Williams, 73, of Forest Hill passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, from injuries due to a farming accident.

Born December 1, 1947, in Giles County, Virginia he was the son of the late John C. Williams Jr. and Edna Atkins Williams.  He retired from the Celanese Corp. and served his country in the United States Air Force and Army National Guard.  Roger was an avid farmer, loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Ruth Ann Crawford Williams; son, Keith M. Williams and wife Kim; daughter, Kristen W. Mills; granddaughter, Mikaela M. Williams; grandson, Nicklas J. Mills and many more family and friends whom he deeply cared for.

Graveside Services and burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest Hill with Pastor Sam Groves officiating.

The family requests no flowers, but donations of sympathy be made to the Forest Hill VFD at P.O. Box 124, Forest Hill, WV 24935.  The family wishes to thank the members of the Forest Hill VFD, Summers Co. EMS and the Summers Co. Sheriffs Dept. for their efforts.
