Robert “Robbie” Dean Thomas, 29, of Hinton passed away Sunday April 19, 2026 in Beaver following a sudden illness.

Born May 12, 1996 in Beckley, WV he was a son of Christopher Dean Thomas of Hinton and Crystal Richmond Smith and husband Johnathan of Beckley.

Robbie was a 2014 graduate of James Monroe High School. He was an employee of Burgess Mowing in Alderson. Robbie enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, sports and he collected shoes and sunglasses.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Virginia Harrah; maternal grandfather, Robert Jack Richmond and paternal grandparents, Ed and Sarah Thomas.

Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Aspen L. Thomas; four step children, Brynlee, Nove, Draven and Haisleigh; one brother, Austin Dakota Thomas; one sister, Alivia Smith; one step brother, Tyler Smith; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann “Nanny” Crawford; uncle Eric Thomas and wife Missy; aunt, Kimberly Richmond and several cousins.

A Celebration of Robbie’s life will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel where a eulogy will be given by friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral parlors. Following the services, at Robbie’s request, his body will be cremated.
