Robert Arnold "Bob" Keaton, 72, of Jumping Branch passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House following complications of pneumonia.
Born December 26, 1945 at Summers County he was a son of the late Arnold J. "Chess" Keaton and Mildred Law Keaton of Jumping Branch.
Bob was a former equipment operator for Omans Construction, Hercules Plant, Shop Foreman for Vecellio & Grogan in Beckley, D&R Contractors, owner and operator of Riverside Esso in Hinton and a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events, car racing and his mechanic work.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Helena Meadows Keaton; one son, Robert Bradley Keaton and twin grandsons, Bradley and Justin Ward.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31 years, Cathy Holley Keaton; three children, Lisa Ward and husband Dwayne of Jumping Branch, Meredith Whittaker and husband Billy of Jumping Branch and Robert Keaton and wife Michele of Jumping Branch; seven grandchildren, Ashleigh, Kristin, Lindsey, Josh, William, Samuel and Bradley; one great grandchild, Karrington; two brothers, David Keaton and wife Lola of Waynesboro, VA and Ray Keaton and wife Ann of Nimitz; special uncle, Pat Keaton of Jumping Branch; special aunt, Mary Lambert of Flint, MI and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel for family and friends. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
