Richard Allen Clayton, 62, of Forest Hill passed away November 22, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born May 13, 1953 at Lillybrook he was a son of the late William Hayden and Willia Ines Wooten Clayton.
Richard was a disabled construction worker, a member of Labor Union #453 and a former truck driver for Silo Ice of Hinton. He enjoyed working on classic muscle cars, watching television and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Clayton and one sister, Mabel Anna Bisel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years Genevieve Jones Clayton at home; three sons, Chad, Shane and Michael Clayton, all of Forest Hill; three sisters, Joyce Hollandsworth of Forest Hill, Teresa Clayton and companion Chester Rudisill of Lowell, Sheila Bolen and husband Jimmy of PA.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Following the visitation it was Rich's request that his body be cremated.
