Obituary

Reva Lorraine King, 98, of Hinton entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Monday, July 6, 2026 at Main Street Care following a long illness.

Born September 14, 1927 in Kilsyth she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ollie Buckland Goff.

Reva was of the Baptist faith. She had worked as a nursing assistant. Reva was a member of the Big Creek Sewing Center who loved sewing and quilting. She was also a member of the Senior Center who enjoyed spending time there and doing activities. Reva was a hard worker who loved life and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Reva was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob King; one son, Basil Junior Ratliff; one grandson, Rodney Keith Ratliff; one great grandson, Colton Lee Harrah and five sisters, Nina Goff, Evelyn Reed, Hazel Lilly, Wanda Lively and Maxine Richmond.

Those left to cherish her memory include six children, Betty Loving, Shirley Wood, Peggy, Jane Bragg and husband Roger, Judy Hartwell and husband Buck and Marsha Willey and companion John; twenty four grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ballengee. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors. Family will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Main Street Care for the love they gave and the kindness they showed their mother over the years.
