Ralph Roscoe “Rocky Top” Campbell, 87, of Red Sulphur Springs went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Stonerise Beckley following a long illness.
Born June 9, 1934 at Dry Pond he was a son of the late Leonard and Susan Blanche Miller Campbell.
Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran, a coal miner, a dairy farmer and a storyteller. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming, spending time with family and friends and telling stories of his life. Ralph never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardella “Tootie” Louise Campbell and siblings, Reva, Raymond, Ray and Russell Campbell and Ruth Anderson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Debra Gray Staples and husband Rodney of Narrows, VA and Susan Darlene Parker and husband Jack of Red Sulphur Springs; two grandchildren, Stacy Michele Wozniak and husband Kevin and Rodney “Justin” Staples Jr.; one great grandson, Christopher Michael Wozniak and three sisters, Rosie Gerke, Rachel Meadows and Rital Mohler.
Graveside services and burial will be 12:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Red Sulphur United Methodist Church Cemetery at Red Sulphur with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Dennis Kidd officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:30 am on Saturday.
