Patricia Lorene Houchins, 57, of Hilldale went home to be with the Lord, Friday October 16, 2026 at the Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.

Born January 30, 1969 in Beckley, WV she was a daughter of the late Charles Junior and Faye Kathryn Wills Adkins.

Trish obtained her Registered Nursing degree from Bluefield State and was the current Director of Nursing at Main Street Care in Hinton. She was formerly employed by Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Summers County ARH, Bowers Hospice House, and multiple local nursing facilities including home health, and a caregiver to many family members and friends. Trish enjoyed taking care of her cats, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Lee Adkins.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Christopher Dale Houchins; two sons, Michael Hoyle and wife Lexi, and Christopher Tyler Houchins and fiancé Rachel; three grandchildren, Amiryah Grace, Xavier August, and Atlas Matthieu Hoyle; mother in law, Mary F. Houchins; brother in law, Ben Houchins and wife Sheri; special caregiver, Cassia Gill; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws and a host of co workers and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Cecil Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery in Nimitz. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Pallbearers will be Braxton Adkins, Hunter Bragg, Taron and Chommy Ayers, Bud Bray, and Josh Hartwell.
