Patricia Farley

October 14, 1938 — July 24, 2005

Patricia Lee Thompson Farley, 66, of Indian Mills, died of leukemia Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. Born October 14, 1938 at Epperly, she was the daughter of the late Oka Meador Thompson and Wesley Thompson. She was a graduate of the class of 1956 at Stoco High School. Patricia worked in the assessorsâ?? office at the Raleigh County Courthouse in the early seventies and operated the Indian Mills Bait Store with her husband from 1977 to 1989. Both she and her late husband attended the Indian Mills Baptist Church and the Roles Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death last year by her husband of 48 years, Donald T. Farley. Survived by three sons, Donald Mark Farley and his wife Tammy of Nicholasville, KY, Daniel Lee Farley of Flagler Beach, FL, and Steven Scott Farley of Rocky Mount, VA; a grandson, Steven Don Farley; two sisters, Wilma Jones and her husband Eddie of Coal City and Erma Allen and her husband Lawrence of Shady Spring; and one brother, Darrell Thompson and his wife Kathleen of Coal City and Ocala, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Friends and family may call at the mausoleum from noon until 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Honorary pallbearers: Levio Boschain, James Keatley, Emmett Mood, Earl Turner, Franklin Williams, Blaine Woodson, Dwayne Brunty, Thomas Farley and Darrell Hamm. Her sons would like to thank all the family, friends, and church members who sent cards and called to offer encouragement to our mother. Your support and friendship was priceless. Our mother was blessed to have a brother and sisters who cared so deeply for their baby sister. She enjoyed their visits immensely. We would also like to thank our motherâ??s sister-in-law, Margie Brunty, for her assistance over the past year. We are eternally grateful.
