Maxine Cooper Maddy Ward 74 of Shrewsbury PA, formally of Summers County died Monday Oct. 11th 2004 in the Pleasant Acres Care Home following a long illness.Born June 18, 1930 in Summers Co., she was a daughter of the late Elisha Berman and Letha Basham Cooper.Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Baltimore MD and Shrewsbury, PA.Preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Ward and one son, Bobby Maddy.Survived by four sons, Billy, Berman and Buddy Maddy of Baltimore, MD and Mark Ward of Felton, PA, one daughter, Betty Clark of Baltimore, MD, three sisters, Helen ?Snook? Lilly and Carol Lilly both of Jumping Branch and Lorene Maddy of Baltimore, MD, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in the Meador Family Cemetery on Ellison Ridge. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton.
