Neva Mae Reed, 86, of Meadow Creek went home to be with the Lord, Friday April 17, 2015 at the Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born October 16, 1928 at Hilltop she was the daughter of the late Curtis William and Ina Kincaid Butler. A homemaker who was a lifelong resident of Summers County, member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church she enjoyed the activities at the Summers County Council on Aging, gardening, canning, spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Maynard M. Reed; one son, Bernard Allen Reed and two grandsons, Michael and Jeffrey Reed.
Survived by her daughter, Aileen Shull and husband Larry of Hinton; one son, Roger Wayne Reed of Meadow Creek; four grandchildren, Shawna Leopard, Elizabeth Reed, Sonya Hoort and Bryan Noyes; three great grandchildren, Michael and Chloe Reed and Ayden Hoort; two sisters, Rosie Keaton and husband Charles of Pipestem and Mary Ann McManaway of Pipestem; one brother, Willie Butler of Pipestem and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 22, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Harry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
