Nettie "Carol" Kelley

Nettie “Carol” Kelley, 92, of Meadow Creek went home to be with her loving Lord, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at her home following a short illness.

Born July 28, 1933 in Berrytown she was a daughter of the late William Mose and Claress Mary Taylor Richmond.

Carol attended Meadow Creek Baptist Church. She was a cook at Sandstone High School and Meadow Creek Elementary then later retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Summers County Hospital with many years of service. Carol enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church and singing. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lovell Kelley; one son, Robert Dale “Bobby” Kelley; one grandson, Jeremiah Henderson; two great grandchildren, Jarick Henderson and Carrie Wilfong; seven siblings, Hannie Richmond, Charles “Bud” Richmond, Bobby Richmond, Geraldine “Jim” Thompson, Margie Moon, Delores “Toot” Thompson and Melvin Richmond and one grandson in law, Scott Richmond.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Diana Wheeler and husband Garry, Dreama Wilfong and husband Gene and Billie Henderson and husband Rick; six grandchildren, Wendy Richmond, Daniel Henderson (Krista), Joanna Elvington (Robin), Shane Wheeler (Amanda), Barry Williams (Shenna), Kristi Fernatt (Lonnie); twelve great grandchildren, Harmony, Cadence, Trinity, Lili, Abigail, Sara Ruth, Elijah, Cheyenne, Kelly, Whitney, Charlie and Garryson; two great great grandchildren, Savannah and Casey; one daughter in law, Carolyn Kelley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Harry Allen and Rick Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral parlors.

Pallbearers: Shane Wheeler, Beau Richmond, Taylor Richmond, Garry Wheeler, Eugene Jones, Daniel Henderson, David Moon and Robin Elvington.

Honorary Pallbearers; Jerry Gwinn, Mark Ward, Glen Palmer and Gene Wilfong.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Meadow Creek Baptist Church, PO Box 3, Meadow Creek, WV 25977.
