Nadine Kay "Patty" Ward

I’ll be somewhere over the rainbow waiting.

     Nadine Kay “Patty” Ward, 57, of Hix entered into eternal rest Monday, November 20, 2023 at her home following a long illness.

     Born November 25, 1965 at Hix she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Wanda Marie Cales Ward.

     Patty was a member of the Laurel Creek Church of Christ.  She retired from PracticeLink as a supervisor. Patty loved astrology (always sitting out to enjoy every meteor shower), loved going to the beach and listening to the ocean, gardening and canning. She was an avid tutor in math and statistics, very well accomplished in math.  Patty loved the Wizard of Oz, Last of the Mohicans and Dark Shadows. She loved and truly believed in the Legendary Big Foot. Patty enjoyed going out to eat with Meloney Richmond her longtime friend and cousin and Credy Cales. She loved the color yellow. Patty considered her aunts as sisters. She was the kindest, gentlest person, never talking back or getting mad.

     Those left to cherish her memory include one sister, Karen Kann and husband Jeff of East Belin, PA; one brother, Timothy Ward of Hix; aunts and uncles, Teresa Johnson and husband Bart, Peggy Walton, Bonnie Rhodes and husband Jim, Decredia “Credy” Cales; lifelong friend, Meloney Richmond and several nieces and nephews, especially Kyle Messinger and Sami Mize whom she adored as her own.

     Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Speaker Paul Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Friday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
