Mildred Emerson Pope, 69, of Jumping Branch, WV, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at her home following a sudden illness. Born May 25, 1936 at Mayville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Malissa Benson Dascomb. Mrs. Pope had been a resident of Jumping Branch, WV for the past 20 years and a resident of Mayville NY for most of her life. Former employee at the Mayville Pastry Shop where she worked for 15 years and Webbâ??s Year Round Resort and a member of the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle. Preceded in death by her first husband Lester Emerson, second husband Donald Pope Sr., one son Dennis Emerson, four brothers, Clifford, James, Eugene and Perry Erhard; one infant sister Sarah Erhard. Survived by one daughter Mrs. Linda Emerson Chambers and husband Jeff of Jumping Branch WV; two grandsons, Shawn Emerson and Keith Chambers; six granddaughters, Tammy Siperek, Dawn Bane, Caron Emerson, Jamie Chambers Wykle, Cassie Emerson and Haley Chambers; ten great grandchildren, Justin, Evan, Darren, Brandon, Brooklyn, Hunter, Andrew, Stephanie, Danielle and Austin; three sisters, Dot Adams, of Bauxite, Arkansas, Lucille Mayer of Westfield, NY and Mary Dascomb of Jumping Branch, WV with whom Mildred made her home for the past six years; two brothers, Floyd Erhard of Phoenix, AZ and Clarence Dascomb Jr. of North East, PA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday November 19, 2005 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, NY. Burial will follow in the Mayville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton, WV and from 7-9 P.M. Friday at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville, NY. Her grandsonâ??s and grandsons-in-law Shawn Emerson, Keith Chambers, Ray Siperek, Bill Bane, Brad Wykle and Allen Garten will serve as pallbearers.
Viewing Information: 6-9 P.M. Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.
Funeral Information: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Freay Funeral Home.
