Micah James Adkins, 16, of Mt. Hope went home to be with the Lord, Friday July 5, 2019.
Born May 31, 2003 at Beckley he was a son of Sarah A. Steele and fiancé Harry Bragg of Mt. Hope and Robert J. Adkins of Hinton and his adopted mother Lora A. Brinegar of Hinton. Micah attended Oak Hill High School and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, construction and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Steve Rose and his paternal grandmother, Karen Adkins.
Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory include three brothers, Tyler Short, R.J. Adkins and Robert Bragg; one sister, Serenity Short; maternal grandmother, Ruby Rose, maternal grandfather, Ronald Short Sr.; adopted maternal grandparents, Grayson Brinegar and wife Barbara and Judy Withrow and husband Clifford; special aunt, Gloria Atkinson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of Micah's life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the John Henry Park at Talcott. Everyone is asked to please bring your own chair.
