Melba Ruth Hogan Meadows, 82, of Madams Creek went home to be with the Lord Friday February 26, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born January 21, 1934 at Madams Creek she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillie Yancey Hogan. A homemaker who was of the Baptist faith she enjoyed caring for her children and farm.
Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Meadows; one son, David N. Meadows; one brother and six sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Darrell Meadows of Pipestem and Danny Meadows of Madams Creek and wife Vickie of Newhall; three daughters, Garnet Meadows of Arizona, Ruby Wade and husband Doug of Meadow Bridge and Susan Basham and husband Roy of Jumping Branch; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Fern Sherman of OH; one dear close friend, Patricia Lake of MI and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Meadows Family Cemetery at Madams Creek. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the Funeral Parlors.
Donnie D. Meadows, Ronnie Meadows, Oliver Sears, Robert Wills, Stewart Farewell and Brian Young will serve as pallbearers.
