Mary "Momma Mert" Meadows

Mary Virginia Meadows “Momma Mert”, 71, of Ballengee entered into eternal rest Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a short illness.

Born September 1, 1951 at Marie she was a daughter of the late Dorsey Allen and Pauline Murdal Comer Garten.

Mary enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred L. Meadows and one sister, Pauline “Polly” Sizemore.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Gracie Meadows and companion Frank Comi of Wayside/Creamery; one son, Gary L. Meadows of Ballengee; special friend, Lena Brookman of Hilldale; one brother, Dorsey Garten of Marie; one nephew, Jeremy Garten of Marie; two nieces, Mary Jane Grygiel of Skygusty and Sue Meadows of Marie; two granddaughters, Aaliayaha and Alexandria Myers of Riverside Rest and the entire Meadows family whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the F.L. Meadows Cemetery at Ballengee. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
