Mary Louise Lilly, 99, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord 2:55 pm Friday August 28, 2015 at Bower's Hospice House following a long illness and we miss her already.
Born February 17, 1916 in Summers County she was a daughter of the late Pearly and Ida Lilly Harvey. A member of the Grace Baptist Church she worked as a Nurse Aide at the Hinton Hospital and in housekeeping at Bluestone State Park. Mrs. Lilly loved her church family, gardening, flowers, talking to her friends on the phone and going on trips in the car. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lunda L. Lilly; daughter, Betty Pritchett; son, Donald Lilly; special grandson, Barry Lilly; son-in-law, Charles Comer and siblings, Audrey Harvey, Green Harvey, Oris Harvey, Anal Bennett, Erma Meadows, Owen Harvey, Wade Harvey and Dollie Pack.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Phyllis Comer of Nimitz; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and her special friend, Martha Martin of Pipestem.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday August 31, 2015 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Ballengee officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6-9 pm on Sunday at the funeral parlors.
Gary Meadows, Tommy Harvey, Thomas Ratcliff, Greg Lilly, Jack Harvey and Jeff Bennett will serve as pallbearers.
