Mary Virginia McGraw Hersman, 86, of Hinton passed away Saturday December 3, 2016 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
Born January 1, 1930 at Charleston, WV she was a daughter of the late Earl William and Luella Miller McGraw. Mary was a former employee of Summers Finance Co., Hinton Furniture Co. and Summers Co. DHHR. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron McGuire Hamm; and one sister, Helen Fringer.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Cheryl Hersman of Bluefield, WV, Chris Hersman and wife Twyla of Princeton, WV and David Hersman of Charlottesville, VA; three grandchildren, Megan Hersman of Chicago, IL, Cassie and Alex Hersman of Charlottesville, VA; and one great grandson Carson Andrew Hamm of Bluefield, VA.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery at Ripley, WV. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
