Mary Gibbons

Mary Irene Gibbons, 89, of Clarksville, TN formerly of Coal City went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Spring Meadows Health Care Center following a long illness.
Born July 10, 1926 at Ellison she was the daughter of the late Aden L. and Ollie V. Pack Basham. She retired from Joseph E. Seagram and Sons in Relay, MD, and was a member of TOPS International where she was very active. Mrs. Gibbons took great joy in being a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Beauford Randall "Randy" Gibbons; infant son, William David Bragg and twelve brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Douglas Gibbons of Glasgow, KY and Robbin Johnston and husband Jeffrey of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Melanie Hyer and husband Charles of Pasadena, MD, Christopher, Jessica and Gregory Johnston and Amanda Blevins and husband Michael all of Clarksville, TN and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until time of the services on Sunday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
