Mary Crook

Mary Evangeline Crook, 79, of Chandler, AZ, affectionately known as Vangie by her family and friends, was welcomed home with open arms by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 20, 2004.Born at Tioga, WV, on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1924, she was the last of seven siblings. After growing up at Tioga, she moved with her husband to Akron, OH, where she lived most of her life.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Newman Crook in 1990.The greatest accomplishment of her life was that she loved her God, her husband and family with all her heart and soul. She blessed us and others by living and sharing her faith and love for Jesus Christ. Even as Alzheimer?s overtook her mind, she maintained a sweet, grateful spirit and daily repeated, ?The Lord knows just what I need!? Her special gift to us was the assurance that, as she left us, ?all was well with her soul.?Mary (Vangie) is survived by her three children; sons Barry and Jerry Crook, daughter Gay Crook Rhoades; four grandchildren; Angela and Julia Rhoades and Todd and Bruce Crook and two great-grandchildren; David and Danielle Crook.Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 11:00 A.M. until noon on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Charlie Crook Cemetery at Jumping Branch.
