Mary Cody

Mary Beatrice “Beatie” Cody went to her heavenly rest on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Stonerise Springfield  in Lindside, WV.

She was born and raised in Monroe County, WV, and lived there most of her years.  Her life was somewhat limited by health problems beginning when she was a small child.  But during her whole life she received love and gave love.  She will rest in peace.

Beatie was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn H. Cody and Mary Edith (Light) Cody; also, by her sister, Edith Virginia Bell (Cody) Welder and her brothers Robert H., James Woodrow, Howard J., Milburn H., Jr., and Paul Cody.

She is survived by her brother, Alfred C. Cody, of Bel Air, Maryland; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews from West Virginia all the way to Texas.

A graveside service and burial will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 16, 2021 at New Hope United Methodist Church cemetery with Pastor Michael Tabor officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 1:30 P.M. until time of service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
