Mary V. Bragg, 86, of Tug Creek, Hinton went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a short illness.
Born October 3, 1929 in Summers County she was a daughter of the late Abraham and Goldie Breen Bennett.
Mary attended Upland Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. She enjoyed fishing, flowers and gardening, camping and spending time with family and friends. "A mother's love is everlasting."
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin M. Bragg; six infant children; one daughter, Marie Tincher; one grandson, Ronnie Lee Ward; one great grandson, DreLynne Martin; four brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include four children, Melvin Bragg Jr. and wife Brenda, Diane Pitzer and husband Charles, Daniel Bragg and wife Wanda and Kathleen Adkins and husband Jackie, all of Tug Creek; nine grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Bennett and wife Juanita of Madams Creek, Arnold Bennett and wife Judy of FL and Donald Bennett of Madams Creek; two sisters, Lola Ratliff and Jenny Harrah, both of Madams Creek and one sister in law, Jean Bennett of Madams Creek.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastors Melvin and Eddie Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Bragg Cemetery at Tug Creek. Friends may call from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral parlors.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Great grandchildren will serve as flower bearers.
