Martina A. Thompson Williams, 87, of Nimitz, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at the Halstead Care Home at Nimitz, after a long illness.Born December 19, 1916 in Summers Co., she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Ella Harvey Thompson.Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a devoted caregiver for her husband, a homemaker and a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch.She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Nelson Williams in 1967; three brothers, Alton, Otwall, and Norris Thompson.Survived by her husband, Hubert A. Williams of Nimitz; a son, Richard Williams of Wilmington, NC; a grandson Robbie, two great-grandchildren, Robbie Jr. and Jill and two great-great-grandchildren all of Grove City, OH; two brothers, Robert Thompson of Sandyville, WV and Bill Thompson of Nimitz.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Bill Fox and Carl Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday.
