Mark Lewis Smith, 51 of Hinton went to be home with the Lord, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a short illness.
Mark was born on June 10, 1967 in Hinton. He was the son of the late Verna Mae Smith and the grandson of the late Lewis Sr. and Geneva Thompson Smith whom raised him.
Mark was a general laborer and was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by two uncles, Lee Smith and Floyd Smith and two aunts, Doris Smith and Doretha Smith.
Survivors include his wife Debra Lee (Cales) Smith; son Justin Bennett; two stepsons, David Harvey and George Ruff; four uncles, Lewis Smith Jr., Billy Rae Smith, Herbie Smith and Tracey Smith and three aunts, Phyllis Smith, Rebecca Smith and Linda Smith Carter.
Cremation services have been provided by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. There will be no public viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Ministry Place with Pastor Robert Rodes and Penny Young officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services on Thursday at the Ministry Place.
