Mark Shane Adkins

Mark Shane Adkins of Green Sulphur, took his final breath at the age of 57 on June 27, 2026, at the Peyton Hospice House following a long illness.

Born January 1, 1969, Mark was the son of the late Eugene Adkins and the late Robert and Ruth Hicks Fleshman.

Other than his parents, Mark is also preceded in death by his only brother, Choya Adkins and sister-in-law, Angela Adkins along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark is survived by his children: Stacie, Dayna and Katie. Stacie Gordan and her husband, Robbie, live in Gretna, VA with her two children, Nadia and Briley. Dayna Adkins and her partner, Jake, live in Fairmont, WV. Katie Martin (stepdaughter) and her husband, Brandon, live with their children in Hilldale. Mark is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Prior to becoming disabled, Mark worked as a carpenter and a truck driver. He had been an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and Cremation Care Center and there will be no public services.
