Margaret R. Williams, 95, of Jumping Branch, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hilldale, following a brief illness.
Born October 10, 1921 in Summers County, she was a daughter of the late Walden and Margaret Phillips Redden.
Margaret was a graduate of Hinton High School, a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church, the Pipestem Quilting Club, a former employee of A & P Grocery, Kroger Company and Humes Department Store. She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, church activities and reading. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert (Junior) Williams; two daughters: Nancy Westbrook, Norma (Penny) Conti and one son: Richard Williams; her stepdaughter: Nancy Bradford and son-in-law Dick Conti; one brother: William (Billy) Redden and one sister: Janice Redden St. Clair.
Those left to cherish her memory include seven grandchildren: Edward Westbrook, Steve Westbrook, Ginger Rushton, Tony Conti, Michael Conti, Christopher Conti and Scott Conti; step grandchildren: Jamie Duran, Frankie Bradford, Sherry Adkins and Lori Washington; eleven great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; special nephew and niece: Randy and Julie Redden; special friends: Bobbi Deeds, Nancy Dobbins, Donnie and Donna Basham, Dusty and Cassy Basham, Brandi and Nathan Wilburn, and Kirby and Lisa Bragg.
Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Restwood Memorial Gardens near Hinton with Pastors Bill Fox and Butch Honaker officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 until 8 PM at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Friends are asked to meet at the funeral parlors at 10:00 AM Tuesday for procession to the cemetery.
