Macie E. Reed, 87, of Madam?s Creek, Hinton, died Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness. Born March 27, 1917 at Madam?s Creek, she was the Mrs. Reed was a lifelong resident of Summers Co., a homemaker and a daughter of the late William Morris and Rosella C. Hinton Mooney. ?Special Granny? too many. Preceded in death by her husband, Allen R. Reed in 1993, four sisters; Della Mooney, Eunice Bennett, Maude Gilpin and Myrtle Lilly, two brother; Carl and Archie Mooney, a daughter-in-law, Roberta Reed and a son-in-law, Edgar Rush, Jr. Survived by one daughter, Janet Rush and a special friend and caregiver, Harry ?Woody? Wood, Jr., one son, Donald A. Reed and a special friend Sandra Via all of Hinton, two grandsons; Edgar Allen Rush and wife Barbara and Patrick Allen Reed all of Hinton, one great grandson, Joseph Allen Rush of Hinton, one sister, Violet Bowling of Beckley, three sisters-in-law, Margie Hamm of Hinton, Frances Meadows and husband Clyde of North Kingston, RI and Ester Fitzsimmons of Hinton, two brothers-in-law; James Reed and wife Janice and Harold Reed and wife Juanita all of Hinton and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Robbie Merritt and Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Family Cemetery at Madam?s Creek. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Pallbearers: Mark Meador, Donnie and Doug Hamm, Steve Lipscomb, David Harvey, Sam Pyne, David Gilpin, Opie Young and Will Reed. Honorary pallbearers: Junior Young, Robert Graham, Wyatt, Grant and Tommy Hinton, Jay Holland and Davis Crook.

Funeral Information: 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the funeral parlor
