Mabel Margaret Stoddard

Mabel Margaret Stoddard, 79, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home following a long illness.

      Born December 11, 1944 at Sandstone she was a daughter of the late Oakey and Hattie Gill Ward.

      Mabel was a past member of Hinton Gospel Tabernacle.  She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. Mabel enjoyed camping, flowers, painting, baking, helping others and spending time with family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

      Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, James Stoddard; one daughter, Rhonda Edwards and several brothers and sisters.

      Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bubby Stoddard, Kim Brown and Matt Stoddard and wife Kelli; grandchildren, Kristi West, Shayanne Stracener and husband Cameron, Dustin Richmond and wife Heidi, Kensi Plumley, Jamie Watkins and Leah Hoffmon and several great grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday March 11, 2024 with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of services at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
