Luther C Lilly

            Luther C. Lilly, 79, of Jumping Branch entered into eternal rest June 18, 2022 at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness.

            Born April 20, 1943 at Jumping Branch he was the son of the late Abdal “Ham” Hamilton and Gertrude Mae Lilly.  A former employee of Odie Meador Lumber Company, he enjoyed collecting coins, telling stories, trading items, and spending time with his family and friends.

            Preceded in death by five brothers, Palmer, Frank “Doc”, Paul, Aubrey “Cricket” and Alonzo Lilly.

            Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Donald R. Lilly and wife Brenda of Winchester, VA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

            A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery with Pastor Tom Coffman officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 1:30 P.M. until time of services.
