Lucile Weber

Mrs. Lucile Wicker Weber, 94, of Hinton, died Monday, June 21, 2004 at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, following a long illness. Born February 3, 1910 in Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Everette Carrington and Bertie Malva Sims Wicker. Mrs. Wicker was a former resident of South Charleston, WV and Fort Lauderdale, FL and retired to Hinton in 1985. She was a retired secretary for the Fort Lauderdale School System, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hinton, a member of the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital Auxiliary, the Delphi Club and was active in other community affairs. Preceded in death by her husband, William T. Weber, three brothers; Fred, Sims and Oakey Wicker and two sisters, Madeline Allen and Mary Keffer. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Dewey Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy should be made to the Concord Foundation, Bill Weber Scholarship, P.O.B. 1000, College Box 83, Athens, WV 24712.
