Lola Rozella Allen, 82, of Hinton went home to be with her loving God Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Glenwood Retirement Village following a long illness.
Born August 23, 1932 in Blue Sulphur Springs, Lola was the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Huggins.
Lola was a member of the Madams Creek Baptist Church for many years. She spent all of her life in Hinton until her last 6 years, where she was a resident of Glenwood Retirement Village. She was a homemaker and very faithful to God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Robert Allen; three sisters, Rosie Bennett, Georgie Toner, Elsie Huggins; one brother, Henry Huggins; and special friend, Charles Ratliff.
She is survived by two children, Patricia Bowers and Husband David of Princeton, Rayburn Allen and Wife Carol of Alexandria, Virginia; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Bryant.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Beard-Nash Cemetery at Pence Springs. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
