Karen Sue Adkins, 59, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 5, 1956 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Margaret Jo Ann Raines Gill.
She spent her life taking care of others as a certified nursing assistant and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by one niece, Jodi Lynn Bennett and one nephew, Anthony Allen Adkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kristie J. Adkins, Robert J. Adkins and Frankie D. Adkins and his wife Kim and family all of Hinton; grandchildren, Lexie Taylor, Micah Adkins and Robert Adkins II all of Hinton; a special caregiver whom she adopted as her daughter, Misty Jones; two sisters, Linda Bennett of Hinton and Brenda Adkins of Talcott; one niece, Crystal Adkins of Hinton; one nephew, Gregory Adkins of Talcott; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. until time of services.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
