Joyce Ann "Granny" Boone

 Joyce Ann “Granny” Boone, 74, of Lewisburg went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her home following a long illness.

 Born February 18, 1950 at Arlington, VA she was a daughter of the late Raymond Alvin and Virginia F. Thomas Hurt.

 Joyce was a housewife and a babysitter who enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, collecting angels and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Boone; one infant great grandchild Remington Reed; and one sister, Linda Ann Jenkins.

 Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Sherrie Ann Boone; one son, William Shane Boone and companion Lori Crawford; grandchildren, Caleb Shane Boone and girlfriend Shyanne Reckseen, Casey Lee Boone and girlfriend Hannah Lemaster, Cara Lynn Boone, Alexis Danielle Dean, Scotty Reed and wife Jessica and Tyler Seldomridge; seven great grandchildren; daughter in law, Donna Lynn Boone; siblings, Barbara Jean Corbin, Charlene “Shug” Martinez, Judy Rose, Barbara Corbin Jordan, Raymond Junior Hurt and Steven Alvin Hurt and several nieces and nephews.

 Graveside service and burial will be 12:30 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery with Robbie Merritt officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery from 12:00 P.M. until time of the  services on Friday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
