Josie M. Reed

Josie M. Reed, 47, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 26, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born August 3, 1977 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Basil and Ruby Bragg.

Josie was a member of Bellepoint Baptist Church. She was a former healthcare worker, taking care of the elderly. Josie enjoyed reading, animals, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet, always greeting you with a smile.

Josie was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin Bragg and Jerry Bragg and her mother in law, Janeet A. Reed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 21 years, Jeremy Reed; five siblings, Marilyn Garten, Ann Jackson and husband Dave, David Bragg, Calvin Bragg and Wendy Bragg as well as several brothers in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Gary Trout officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellepoint Baptist Church Cemetery in Hinton. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the funeral parlor to help cover expenses.
